EcoSys Unveils Project Controls Software Roadmap at Annual Conference

New mobile apps, analytics capabilities, and 5D BIM integrations for project controls software platform will drive greater productivity and visibility

ORLANDO, Fla. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — September 21, 2015 — Today, from its 5th Annual User Conference, EcoSys is announcing its roadmap of exciting new capabilities for its EcoSys EPC (Enterprise Planning & Controls) solution. As a leader in enterprise project controls software, EcoSys is dedicated to staying at the forefront of technology that supports smarter business decisions and better project performance through visibility, ease of use, process automation, and integration.

Aligning with that mission, today EcoSys is announcing its software roadmap which includes a new mobile apps framework, enhanced business intelligence analytics and 5D BIM (Building Information Modeling) integration capabilities.

This announcement comes shortly after Hexagon subsidiary, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine’s agreement to acquire EcoSys. Intergraph’s world leading enterprise engineering software combined with EcoSys’ best-in-class enterprise project controls software will offer current and future clients even greater productivity and advance the companies’ offering to the AEC (Architectural, Engineering & Construction) and BIM markets to improve project execution.

“As projects continue to grow in size and complexity, capital projects require much more powerful data automation and analysis tools in order to succeed,” said Javier Sloninsky, CEO of EcoSys. “We are excited to unveil new features for our EcoSys EPC platform which will enable clients to increase visibility and productivity through new mobile apps and expanded business intelligence capabilities.”

New features planned for the EcoSys EPC platform include:

  • New Mobile Apps: EcoSys will be releasing a suite of new, user-friendly mobile apps that allow users to work seamlessly online and offline. The apps tailor to support business processes that are ideal for the mobile platform. Users can easily submit text and/or photos to report an issue they may spot on a job-site, record updates, manage change approvals, capture field progress, or review up-to-date project dashboards and reports. The apps will make project data available and editable offline when internet connections are not available, and keep data in sync when the mobile device reconnects to the internet later.

The easy and real-time access to accurate information on-the-go will improve collaboration across an organization, increase productivity, and enable better, more informed decision making.
  • Enhanced Analytics and Business Intelligence: As the central enterprise project controls hub, EcoSys EPC is uniquely positioned to support greater portfolio and project intelligence through its robust data integration capabilities and real-time analytics which provide dynamic in-memory summarizations and interactive drilldowns. Today EcoSys demonstrated its updated charting solution which provides improved visuals through interactive charts with configurable axes and flexible click-through ability to see related project data. Over the course of the coming year, further business intelligence and analytics features will be released.
  • 5D BIM Integration: EcoSys announced plans to develop integrations with Intergraph 3D modelling solutions to power 5D BIM. EcoSys EPC is a natural solution to enable 5D BIM, as it adds project scheduling integration (4D) and robust cost management capabilities (5D) with Intergraph PP&M’s 3D design and construction solutions.
