Agreement combines EdgeWiseTM automated modeling software and LineUp Pro® target-less registration in a single end-to-end solution
Stuttgart, Germany — September 17, 2015 — Gexcel and ClearEdge3D today jointly announced a software marketing and sales partnership that will offer a complete automated registration and modeling solution for the BIM and industrial plant industries. The agreement combines Gexcel’s innovative, target-free scan registration software called LineUp Pro with ClearEdge3D’s automated as-built modeling software EdgeWise 5.0 to offer the fastest field-to-finish workflow for capturing data without targets, accurately registering the point cloud and creating an intelligent model for export to CAD and BIM platforms.
LineUp Pro uses groundbreaking technology to register individual laser scans in a fully automatic fashion without the need for survey targets, saving users a significant amount of time and creating a more accurate point cloud. Similarly, EdgeWise uses a series of highly advanced algorithms to automatically extract and model objects from point cloud data. The software is widely regarded as the fastest and most accurate way to create as-built BIMs and facility models.
Under the agreement, Gexcel and ClearEdge3D will market and sell each other’s software as a single bundled offering in addition to selling the products individually.
