Xplore Technologies Expands Relationship with Leading U.S. Railroad Transportation Company

Secures Additional Million Dollar Deal for Rugged Bobcat Tablets

AUSTIN, Texas — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 31, 2015 — Xplore Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: XPLR), manufacturer of the world’s broadest range of high-quality rugged tablet computers, today announced it has been awarded additional Xplore Bobcat tablet computer order from a leading U.S. railroad transportation company. The additional order for fully-rugged Bobcat tablets is to help the railroad achieve cost savings and increase mobility in its yards.

“A great indicator that you are delivering your customers purpose-built devices that meet their unique workflow demands is ongoing business and additional orders,” said Mark Holleran, president and chief operating officer for Xplore Technologies. “By expanding the use of our Bobcat rugged tablets the railroad will benefit from additional financial savings and field technicians will realize increased mobility with the information they need on a single device.”

The railroad originally selected the Bobcat for its fully-rugged IP65 rating and extended 14-hour battery life – both useful features for efficient operations in a railroad yard. In addition to the tablets, the railroad ordered the tablet’s docking solution and optional secondary battery.

The Xplore Bobcat features a slim, lightweight design and runs Windows 7 or 8.1 operating systems. The tablet is certified MIL-STD-810G, rated dust and water resistant and can withstand a five-foot drop and operate in extreme cold and heat. As the most expansive tablet on the market, the Bobcat comes standard with two full-sized USB 3.0s, micro SD and micro HDMI-out ports, as well as a micro SIM card reader and RJ-45 gigabit Ethernet plug-ins.
