LOS ANGELES — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 29, 2015 — With the addition of a new package of advanced parking technologies, parking at L.A.’s Union Station is easier and more convenient than ever before. The technology package combines six state-of-the-art SKIDATA access stations to allow seamless entry and exit, two Pay-On-Foot stations permitting parkers to pay for parking before returning to their vehicles, and RFID readers allowing employees and monthly parkers to enter and exit the facility without interruption. The package also includes 5 e:Val validation kiosks through which parkers can receive discounted parking after patronizing Union Station establishments. Union Station, which is one of the busiest rail centers in the United States, serves more than 60,000 travelers every day.

In addition to providing an enhanced parker experience, the new technologies will also permit parking operators to collect and evaluate data about how the parking facilities are being utilized.
