SME's Advanced Manufacturing Media Recognizes "30 Under 30" Future Leaders of Manufacturing

DEARBORN, Mich., July 7, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —  SME's Advanced Manufacturing Media is proud to announce the honorees for its third-annual "30 Under 30" issue, celebrating young men and women who have demonstrated leadership and excellence in manufacturing.

The July issue of Manufacturing Engineering magazine highlights these 30 young manufacturing professionals and students for their accomplishments. Among the standouts: Christopher Tyler, 28, who worked with the U.S. Air Force on optimizing the topology of flapping wing vehicles; Kathryn Tillery-Merk, 28, who manages projects to close manufacturing technology gaps, such as those with intelligent machining; and Rachel Battershaw, 23, a Spirit AeroSystems' principal investigator on two major programs, the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
