MONTREAL, June 5, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — Following the astounding success of its pop-up concert featuring internationally renowned Swedish artist Joel Mull at the Bassin Peel, on June 3rd, the AIM FESTIVAL organizers will be celebrating the inaugural launch for the 1st edition of its outdoor electronic music festival. The celebration will be taking place at RED BULL's Montreal offices, our proud partners.

Beyond the actual meaning of the word AIM, these three letters are also an acronym for the festival's mission. Art, Innovation, and Movement: these principles serve as the unifying theme of the event with the goal to DEEPEN THE EXPLORATION OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC.

ART
Strong artistic elements including multimedia workshops on site, an artistic convergence between electronic music and digital art, and the coordination of performances and art installations on site.
INNOVATION
An unpretentious approach, inspired by European festivals, with a refined musical program, and an incomparable festival site.
MOVEMENT
The inspiration to create a gathering, a real movement between international and local artists, while offering festivalgoers the opportunity to broaden their experience of electronic music.

AN INSPIRED EXPERIENCE
The three-day experience - inspired by European electronic music festivals, where festivalgoers are immersed in a natural surrounding – brings together the elements of the biggest and most forward-thinking festivals on the planet, with its spectacular outdoor location, like the Open-Air Festival in Amsterdam, along with the community spirit of Burning Man, and the eclectic nature of the crowd of Electric Zoo in New York.

AIM will be held less than an hour drive from Montreal, at Parc Carillon (located in the Laurentians, on the Outaouais border – shuttles will be available from the Montmorency metro station). ''The site is simply incredible'', says Artistic Director and AIM co-founder, François Lebaron. ''With the river and the forest that line the park's borders, and the historical monoliths that mark the Battle of Long Sault…it gives off such a strong, techno vibe- a something even of Berlin.  It's simply the perfect spot for us to create the 360 degree experience we want to offer.''

"WE HOPE TO HAVE A NEW APPROACH WITH THE AIM FESTIVAL: TO CREATE A MOVEMENT, AND A COMMUNITY''
– AIM

NON-STOP MUSIC
Contrary to events held in an urban environment, festivalgoers will have the opportunity to enjoy the music on offer without any time constraints – 40 hours of music over the 3 days, and 32 hours non-stop from Saturday to Sunday.

The variety of electronic music on offer will take place on three distinct stages: one dedicated to chill out music that's making a comeback, and two other main stages featuring both local and international artists, like the Pachanga Boys, who will be making their North American comeback after a two-year absence.
