XYZprinting Announces High-Res, 3D Handheld Scanner

Utilizes Intel® RealSense™3D Camera Technology to Capture, Scan, and Print Everyday Objects with Ease

SAN DIEGO, June 3, 2015 — (PRNewswire) —   XYZprinting, the manufacturer of the world's most affordable consumer grade 3D printers, today announced the company's first 3D scanner, XYZ Handheld Scanner, to be made available in the market later this year.

The new XYZ Handheld Scanner has the most versatile scan range in its class, and enables users to scan objects of any shape or size, quickly, easily, and more accurately than ever before.

The device utilizes Intel® RealSense™ 3D camera technology to produce highly accurate, full color images, allowing users to capture every detail of their favorite everyday moments. The camera has advanced depth sensing capabilities, which makes it significantly easier for beginners to scan and print the world in high-quality 3D.

Users can then edit and enhance their scanned image in order to create the perfect replica. Fully integrated with XYZprinting's 3D printers, users can print their desired objects directly from their laptops at any time, or share it digitally.

In addition, the 3D scanner's handheld size makes it easy to carry, and its clip-shaped-design gives users the ability to simply attach it to a laptop computer so they can scan images from anywhere they choose. The compact snap-on design instantly transforms a laptop into a 3D scanner, giving users the freedom to scan spontaneously.
