Cryptoart announced that it has been invited by SXSW organizers to host a pop-up gallery inside the SXSW trade show. During the event, Cryptoart plans to give away a limited number of its "fine art wallets" and educate the public about unique use cases for Bitcoin. Cryptoart has also collaborated with Two Dots Studio (known for their artistic contributions on Assassin's Creed and Far Cry) and ZiftrCOIN to create a commemorative art piece for the event.
"We're excited about the opportunity to engage with SXSW attendees. The art we sell holds digital currency. If you are curious about how it works or simply want to enjoy bitcoin in physical form, please stop by the gallery," says Cryptoart founder, Troy Fearnow.
All digital currency must be properly secured. Physically storing bitcoin offline is the safest way to prevent loss from hackers or loss from hardware malfunction. Cryptoart's fine art wallets offer this protection in a visually enjoyable and collectable form. Cryptoart also wants to create broader awareness in digital currency by working with artists to add to the dialogue.
Educating the public about Bitcoin and digital currency
During the event, members from the cryptocurrency space have volunteered to stop by and help educate the public. Expect to see members from Texas Coinitiative, San Antonio CryptoNetwork, and ZiftrCOIN. "The ability to physically hand bitcoin to someone without an intermediary or online account is not only useful, but helps people understand how block chain technology works," says Fearnow.
Promotion at Cryptoart.com
Cryptoart will have specials running on its website during SXSW. Most notably will be an art piece created by the artists at Two Dots, called "Crypto Nouveau BxZ." Two Dots is well known for their work on Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. The smallest size of the limited edition art piece will be loaded with a novel amount of bitcoin and ZiftrCOIN and available for free (plus shipping and handling).
