Latest PartMaker Version on Display at Eastec 2015

Delcam to demonstrate PartMaker Version 2015 at the east coast’s largest machine tool show

Fort Washington, PA, March 12, 2015 – PartMaker Inc., a division of Delcam, will demonstrate the latest version of PartMaker Software for programming CNC Mills, Lathes, WireEDMs, Turn-Mill Centers and Swiss-type lathes at Eastec 2015 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, May 12 – 14, 2015.  Highlighting the new version is a completely revolutionary approach to CAM post processing for multi-axis Turn-Mill Centers and Swiss-type lathes.  PartMaker Version 2015 includes the ability to generate a Post Processor Reference Guide, an on command manual explaining how to program a given multi-axis lathe and take advantage of all the machine’s capabilities with PartMaker.

PartMaker will be demonstrated in the booth of its parent company, Delcam, booth number 5326.

The company will also be demonstrating it’s new, free productivity application, the PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer, at Eastec.

Released late last year, PartMaker Version 2015 features a host
of new and innovative technology to make CNC programming
more productive.

Other highlights of PartMaker Version 2015 include improved support for today’s latest breed of multi-tasking machine tools, more powerful milling and turning functionality and improvements in the software’s knowledge based technology for storing optimal feeds and speeds for additional tools.

“As the pioneer of CAM software for multi-tasking Turn-Mill Centers and Swiss-type lathes, PartMaker continues to innovate to bring our users the most sophisticated technology for programming these machines,” says PartMaker Inc. division President Hanan Fishman.

“The advent of the Post Processor Reference guides and other improvements to PartMaker’s industry leading post processing technology in PartMaker Version 2015 ensure PartMaker users have the most robust post processors possible,” says Fishman. “Using PartMaker’s unique, cloud-based post processor update utility, customers can always assure they have the most recent post processor for their machine tools.”

PartMaker 2015 includes specialist support for a new breed of machine tools that has been growing steadily in popularity in recent years called Vertical Mill-Turns (VMT).  These machine tools are unique because they provide the turning functionality typically found on a VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) with that of a 5-axis VMC (Vertical Machining Center).  PartMaker 2015 will also offer support for turret based Swiss lathes with programmable B-axis live tooling attachments.

Special for Eastec – the PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer

As a special attraction at the PartMaker booth at Eastec, the company will be demonstrating the new PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer pc app on the show floor.  The PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer is an utterly unique, free software application for users of multi-axis Turn-Mill Centers and Swiss-type lathes to quickly view their multi-channel NC programs side-by-side, for virtually any multi-channel machine/control combination.  The PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer will be configured for visitors to the booth by a PartMaker product specialist for their shop’s exact line-up of multi-tasking machine tools.  By visiting the booth at Eastec, visitors not only receive the PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer to install on their PC, they will also have it configured on the show floor to take away on a USB stick.

More on PartMaker

PartMaker is a Knowledge Based Machining system, allowing it to provide a substantial gain in programming efficiency by remembering the tools, material and process information necessary to machine individual part features.  It thus relieves the user from reentering the same features information for subsequent parts.  It also improves productivity by placing the emphasis on tool management functions.

PartMaker pioneered the field of CAM software for Turn-Mills and Swiss-type lathes with its patented Visual Programming Approach for programming multi-axis lathes with live tooling. It assures quicker learning and easier use. It makes an extensive use of pictures to help the user describe tools, part features and machining data.  Synchronization of tools working on multiple spindles is achieved by a few mouse clicks.

PartMaker Inc. is a subsidiary of Delcam, the world’s leading developer and supplier of complete CAD/CAM software solutions.  Delcam is a wholly-owned, independently-operated subsidiary of Autodesk. Autodesk helps people imagine, design and create a better world. Everyone - from design professionals, engineers and architects to digital artists, students and hobbyists — can use Autodesk software to unlock their creativity and solve important challenges.
