Program Includes Eight Films Directly from Sundance Film Festival, Advance Screening of Dreamworks SKG Animation Film, and Colorado Filmmakers
BOULDER, Colo. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — February 12, 2015 — The 11th Annual Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) announced its full program, which includes 51 films from around the world and eight films direct from the Sundance Film Festival. The festival takes place in scenic Boulder, CO, March 5-8, 2015, and brings films, filmmakers and fans from around the world together for a four-day celebration of the fine art of filmmaking.

Opening Night
The festival kicks off on Thursday, March 5th at 5:30 p.m. with an Opening Night Red Carpet Gala and screening of the long awaited film The Wrecking Crew, the feature documentary about the most famous studio band in the history of music.

CineCHEF
Foodies rejoice! New to this year’s festival is the flagship CineCHEF event. Boulder’s premiere chefs choose a movie theme and showcase cuisine from that theme. Special beer and wine pairings are included. Winner takes home a BIFF award trophy on Closing Night.

Alan Arkin
“A Tribute to Alan Arkin” will feature a presentation of the “Career Achievement Award” to Mr. Arkin and a retrospective of his career, followed by an interview with Mr. Arkin conducted by BIFF special event producer Ron Bostwick. The event will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $25 and may be purchased at www.biff1.com.
Closing Night
Directly from last month’s Sundance film festival, Racing Extinction is a thrilling feature documentary that follows activists with covert cameras stalking shark-fin hunters, illegal wild animal traders, and black market endangered species restaurants. Join director and Boulder resident Louie Psihoyos for an action packed evening with a Q&A following the screening.
