You can create powerful geographic information system (GIS) apps that run on any device using Esri’s Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, a new feature of ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS. And you never have to write a single line of code.

To familiarize yourself with this helpful new tool, tune in to the Esri live training seminar Get Started with Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS on January 22, 2015. The presenters will show you how to quickly build web apps that showcase your data, configure widgets (for querying data, performing analysis, and other tasks), and choose the look and feel for your app. You also will learn how to share your app with your organization or the public via the ArcGIS platform or deployed on your own web server.

Developers also will get tips on how to customize WebApp Builder for ArcGIS to suit their specific needs.

After viewing the seminar, you will understand how to

·        Bring your own content and content available via ArcGIS into your app. This includes basemaps, real-time traffic and demographic data, and GIS services such as routing and geocoding.

·        Configure your widgets that use your mapping and GIS services.

·        Customize your app or extend its capabilities using the Developer edition of Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS.

Anyone interested in building and deploying GIS apps is encouraged to attend this hour-long live training seminar. A portion of the presentation will be devoted to app developers interested in creating custom widgets and themes.

You will need a broadband Internet connection and an Esri Account to watch the live training seminar. Creating an Esri Account is easy and free: visit esri.com/lts, click Login at the top right, and register your name and e-mail address.
