It’s easy to incorporate CNC STEM Activities into your Career Tech Ed classroom.
Jan 7, 2015 -- Visit booth #112 at FETC 2015 to find out how – and to play with three exciting projects – the Ruler, Carousel and Catapult!
In-House Solutions is excited to be featuring its Applied CNC STEM Activities curriculum at the highly-anticipated FETC 2015 conference Jan. 21-23 in Orlando, Florida, at booth #112. Approximately 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which brings together leaders in education and technology experts for the promotion of teaching and learning success.
FETC 2015 will provide opportunities to explore the integration of technology across the curriculum, from kindergarten through college, with hands-on exposure to hardware, software and innovative strategies. The conference will include over 500 vendors, 250 expert- and peer-led sessions, more than 150 workshops and 25 focus areas, all dedicated to incorporating education technology into the K-20 school community.
“In-House Solutions is thrilled to be highlighting our STEM curriculum at the show,” said Kim Faustini, Educational Sales, In-House Solutions. “Since we launched the curriculum in November, sales have been steady and the response from career and technical educators has been overwhelmingly positive!”
Three projects — the Ruler, Carousel and Catapult — will be on display at the Holmquist Educational Consultants booth #112 throughout the show. Visitors will be able to see samples of each completed project and browse through the accompanying project books, as well as meet one of the influential authors, Dr. Stephanie Kaye Holmquist.
The Applied CNC STEM curriculum is project-based and available customized for both students and instructors. Each project book is a complete resource and has been designed with career tech educators in mind, featuring lesson plans, science and math background information, instructor STEM notes and guide, rubrics, student worksheets, answer keys and exams that reflect national standards.
Projects, available individually or in combinations, are easy to incorporate into any STEM-oriented engineering class and align to national standards.
Dr. Holmquist is President and CEO of Holmquist Educational Consultants, Inc., a national career and technology education consulting firm in business since 1998. She received a Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in Career and Workforce Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction and a focus on Educational Robotics. At booth #112, visitors will also get a chance to learn more about Roamer the Robot, VEX Robotics, Trotec Laser Engravers and Afinia 3D Printers.
