Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Dec 3, 2014 – On November 25, 2014 Mr. Yousif Malik received certification as a GIS Professional (GISP) by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).  The certification recognizes a Geographic Information Systems Professional who has met the minimum standards for ethical conduct and professional practice as established by the GISCI. GISCI certification requires documentation of achievement in three areas: educational achievement, professional experience, and contributions to the profession.

Mr. Malik is employed as a Senior Programmer at geographIT®, located in Lancaster, PA, where he has been employed since 2013.  He earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science and an M.S. degree in Geographic Information Systems from Southern Illinois University and has six years of industry experience.  “We are very fortunate to have Mr. Malik as a member of our software development team and are excited that he received his GISP certification”, said Bruce E.
