Cadence Design Systems Professorship Endowed at Stanford University

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 12, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), a leader in global electronic design innovation, today announced the endowment of the Cadence Design Systems Professorship at Stanford University in the School of Engineering and the appointment of Dr. Kunle Olukotun as the first Cadence Professor. Dr. Olukotun is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and is the director of the Pervasive Parallelism Lab at Stanford University.

Cadence established the Cadence Design Systems Professorship Fund in May 2014, and the professorship is awarded to those at the top of their academic field who have made a significant contribution to the development of computer systems. The partnership with Stanford University is part of Cadence's overall commitment to advancing education and fostering innovation in the field of computer system design.
