1Spatial To Host On- Trend Discussion - ‘Spatial Data Quality – An Afterthought Or A Strategy’ - at Location Intelligence World 2014

7 & 8 October– Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, London

Cambridge, 6 th  October 2014-( www.1spatial.com) 1Spatial plc, global specialists in Spatial Big Data management, will be hosting a highly topical discussion entitled ‘Spatial Data Quality – An Afterthought Or A Strategy’ during Location Intelligence World 2014, where it will also be exhibiting.

Han Wammes, Spatial Information Management Advisor at 1Spatial, invites Location Intelligence World 2014 attendees to look at the benefits of adopting spatial data quality as a strategy to be able to value spatial data as an asset.

He will address how in many organisations, spatial data quality is often seen as an afterthought. Users don’t always realise the impact data quality can have on efficiency and risk when business decisions have to be made or compliance is at stake.  It can be argued that taking spatial data quality as a key strategy not only erases the enormous costs and liability risks afterwards, but forces organisations to rethink spatial data as an asset. This is especially true of the undetected patterns which readily available in disparate data siloes, from which organisations can improve understanding. “This event promises to be a unique and dynamic event that will break the mould of the standard conference format and will prove enlightening for attendees”, commented Han Wammes, 1Spatial.

Location Intelligence World’s two day agenda is based around informal discussion groups in which everybody participates.  Each discussion is led by a selection of expert co-chairs who participate no more and no less than anyone else in the room. Discussions cover key industry challenges and issues, and run simultaneously, with up to 3 separate rooms in discussion at any one point.
