Code your way into $125k of prize money, more than 11 challenge prizes, plus travel expenses to Las Vegas for the Money 2020 Hackathon sponsored by ModoPayments

RICHARDSON, Texas, Sept. 25, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —  ModoPayments, or just Modo to our friends, will be awarding up to 11 development teams $500 additional travel funds for hotels if they register to use the Modo's API at the Money 2020 Hackathon.

To enter the competition, all you need is an original idea and to complete a simple registration for the Money 2020 Hackathon. Oh, and Money2020 is already providing $250 in incidental expenses to registered developers who attend.

Are you a developer who loves to hack? Are you a hacker who loves to develop? Or maybe you prefer coder? Do you have mad kung fu? Did you spell I-D-E before you could sing Do-Re-Mi? Sticking with the dough part, want more? How about Vegas? Like Vegas? Think mobile is cool? Awesome? Sport of the future?

Hey us too!

We here at Modo are nearly breathless with anticipation about the Money2020 Hackathon, but that could also be because we asked too many questions right in a row. We think you should totally come out, and build something awesome and win. Plus, you will have the opportunity to hob knob with some big shots in the Fin Tech industry. We are pretty excited about that part ourselves; it's quite the crowd.

Modo has created an open API that allows developers to create their own apps delivering beautiful buying experiences to consumers. A customer can walk into a store, be instantly recognized, get presented with gifts, deals, rewards, and offers, engage with the store attendants and complete their purchase (including touchless checkout), using only their mobile device. Modo powers the payments and technology bits and you design the personalized engagement that consumers crave. See www.modopayments.com for more about our handcrafted API.

Send Modo your ideas for building beautiful buying experiences and the top 11 concepts will receive $500 (per team) toward a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the Money 2020 Hackathon taking place at the Aria November 1st through 2nd.

For complete contest rules, terms and conditions, see www.modopayments.com/hackathon-terms (and then be sure to send your idea to Email Contact and we will start judging entrants on October 4th, 2014.  We will be notifying winners continuously ending October 20th, 2014.
