SierraTEE provides true 64-bit Global Platform Internal and Client APIs and development tools. SierraTEE also supports the full suite of ARM-v8 extensions for multicore and power management. This powerful open source stack enables OEMs developing a wide array of products, ranging from battery operated devices to military grade communication equipment, to take advantage of emerging 64-bit processors.

The SierraTEE Secure OS:

  • Supports a wide range of SOCs, including mobile platforms, set-top boxes and automotive applications.
  • Streamlines development by supporting SMP and AMP process management.
  • Offers TrustZone-based Android containers and integrity management for best-in-class hardware-assisted protection against malware.
  • Supports mixed mode operation, allowing for legacy 32-bit ARM-v7 OSes to co-exist with ARM64 TEE.
  • Secures a variety of applications such as mobile payment, device authentication, and DRM for high definition 4K content protection.

"Unified 32-bit/64-bit tools and SecureOS enables equipment manufacturers to quickly transition from 32-bit to 64-bit systems," said Gopu Subramanian, CTO of Sierraware. "Our TEE is designed to address a variety of different devices including SDN networking, industrial, automotive, and mobile devices."

SierraTEE is available for download under the GNU General Public License (GPL) at: http://www.openvirtualization.org/download.html.
