FURUNO Electric Co. Ltd., a Japan-based manufacturer of marine and industrial electronic equipment that uses ultrasound and electromagnetic wave sensor technologies, set out to develop a compact, low-cost weather radar system with a flexible signal-processing unit to accommodate various potential design changes. To verify the system-level performance by co-simulating the digital and analog sections together, FURUNO took advantage of the co-simulation capability between the NI AWR Design Environment™, specifically Visual System Simulator™ (VSS), and LabVIEW software.
