Last year, Rachel was hand picked by gaming giant Capcom to become the game character, 'Marissa "Tweed" Ronson' in their 'Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City' video game. This gave her the rare perspective of a person who has been through the process of being immersed inside artificial reality.
"Once I became a video game character, defining questions about my now 'dual realties' consumed me and now I have to go in deeper" said Lara. "I reached out to film director Marty Thomas and asked him if he would document my journey, a journey far into the depths of artificial, augmented and virtual realities."
"I immediately thought how mind-blowing it would be to shoot inside artificial reality", said director Thomas. "The plan is to immerse Rachel and the audience inside these realties utilizing new technologies and systems never seen before."
Thomas continued, "This film will go inside that world in every way imaginable, both physically and mentally. Rachel asks the big questions and tries to define reality itself with top vanguards of technology and gaming, science and psychology. She discovers what the future holds for us, what are the possibilities? How can this also be dangerous to us? What are the risks with this technology as it evolves and becomes nearly or completely sentient as it already is well-woven in to our everyday lives?"

Filming locations include; Grass Valley/CA, Lucasfilms ltd, Pixar Studios, NASA, Letterman Digital Arts Center/San Francisco, Las Vegas/NV, Tokyo/Japan, Los Angeles/CA, Comic-Con/San Diego, SXSW and selected locations inside artificial reality itself.
