Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc. Leadership Succession Press Release

Philadelphia, PA – July 29, 2014 -- Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc. announced today the appointment of its new leadership team.  John Schmitt will assume the position of President and David Day that of Executive Vice President, effective October 6, 2014 with the planned departures of Mary Potter and Ken Potter, respectively, the current office holders.  The Potters will continue to serve as advisors and Mary Potter will remain on the Board of Directors.

John Schmitt's core responsibilities as President will include strategic planning, profitability and growth, and production efficiency.  "John's demonstrated commitment to the development and expansion of Keystone's digital and LiDAR aerial acquisition services, coupled with over 27 years of progressive experience in all aspects of Keystone's operations and airborne data collection, make him the right leader to advance Keystone's continued growth and innovation", said Mary Potter.  "Having successfully planned and managed countless complex acquisition projects, John understands the needs of our clients and how to translate that understanding into ever-improving data solutions." 

As Executive Vice President, David Day will assume additional oversight responsibilities while continuing to manage and coordinate the deployment of planes, sensors and crews, information technology, programming and implementation of best practices and solutions.  "We’ve come to rely on Dave’s support, initiative and obvious talents in developing customized software applications, identifying emerging technologies and assuring that all systems are fully-integrated, functional and secure", said Ken Potter.  "Dave’s creativity, vision and organizational skills during his 20 years with Keystone have earned him this recognition as a vital and respected member of the leadership team."
