GISconnector for Excel links ArcGIS and Excel seamlessly...enabling bidirectional data transfer and much more...

June 17, 2014 -- GISconnector for Excel consists of two Add-Ins, one in ArcGIS Desktop and one Add-In in Microsoft's Excel. Both Add-Ins communicate with each other enabling the following features:

  • Bidirectional data transfer between ArcGIS and Excel
  • Transfer Excel Filters to ArcGIS as a definition query and definitions queries to Excel as a filter
  • Transfer selctions between ArcGIS and Excel
  • Transfer selections in ArcGIS to a filter in Excel and transfer a filter in Excel to a selection in ArcGIS

Most important points:

  • No editing session required for transferring data from Excel to ArcGIS
  • The GISconnector works very fast
  • You can add new columns with the GISconnector for Excel, both from Excel to ArcGIS and vice versa
  • You can add new ArcGIS features to your existing Excel table
  • Joined tables can be still edited in Excel and changes transfrerred to ArcGIS
  • You can connect many feature classes to one Excel file within multiple tables or spreadsheets
  • You can export attribute data to Excel and Excel tables to ArcGIS
