Hannover, Germany, June 6, 2014 – Videantis, a leader in computer vision and video coding processor IP solutions, announced today that Tony Picard has joined the company as its vice president for sales, reporting to CEO Hans-Joachim Stolberg. Picard will be responsible for driving customer success and further adoption of the videantis unified video/vision processor IP.

At ARM he contributed to the success of their Mali graphics product line, and at Silicon Hive he focused on camera processing, which led to the company’s acquisition by Intel. We’re excited to bring him on board and look forward to his contributions to our rapidly growing customer base and product line.”

Prior to joining videantis, Tony was at Intrinsic-ID where he served as the VP for business development. Before that he was the VP for sales at Silicon Hive (acquired by Intel Corp) and the worldwide commercial director for ARM’s Media Products division. Tony holds a masters of science in electrical engineering from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
