"Brutal Donut shows no mercy for healthy foods."
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 2, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —SAN JOSE, Calif., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Brutal Corp's witty revenge game, Brutal Donut now enjoys compatibility with Intel® Atom™ tablets for Windows* 8.1. Players can vicariously destroy beans, carrots, peas and all sorts of vegetables with the help of a savage donut.
The game
The donut can be pulled into elastic ropes, much like in wrestling games, to crush its enemies.
Like in a breakout game or snooker, the player must find the best angle to make the perfect shot, bounce and do maximum damage!
The gameplay is easy and instinctive:
- Pull the donut into the ropes to throw it on the veggies!
- Use the bonuses for more power!
- But be careful not to hit your friendly pastry.
With Intel:
The comic graphics and catchy music in this hilarious game are as delicious as junk food on the Windows* 8.1 tablets. The excellent audio and sensitive touch screen enable Brutal Donut to fend off his broccoli assailants with ease. Assistance and support were provided by the Intel® Developer Zone so the app functions smoothly.
"Brutal Donut is a harmless way for people to take a little fun revenge on health food," says the team. "The engines runs smoothly with the Intel®Atom™processors, so gamers will enjoy fast-paced action play. The high-resolution screen really helps the characters come to life in an entertaining way."
Brutal Donut is available for immediate download at the Windows* app store: http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/47f59fbc-9831-4418-83f3-2c862d34a7ec
About the team:
For a while, Xavier (original idea, sound and graphic design) and Florent (game design and level design) dreamt about making an indie game together.
Xavier had brought buckets of great ideas and Florent had been working on several gameplay concepts, the donut was not so far away...
The challenge was to create an original puzzle-game, instantly fun, really accessible, as dynamic as breakout, as precise as snooker. Several prototypes were made, but the real take-off happened when Julien (development) joined the crew: he brought balance to the team, gave life to the project… and was able to translate all of this into lines of code.
