April 29, 2014 - MOCKSVILLE, NC -- Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) welcomes Davie County, N.C. to the community of 311GIS users. 311GIS is an easy-to-use online solution for citizen issue reporting. Davie County is currently using 311GIS for web, Android and iOS.

311GIS is an easy-to-use Esri based interface that allows the public to submit a request in a variety of categories, including Public Works and Code Enforcement. It offers a large map for easy viewing and provides users with the ability to follow other submitted requests. Additionally, users can add comments and pictures to any request.

“The goal is to provide a convenient and easy method for the public to notify county or town personnel of non-emergency service needs,” said John Gallimore, GIS and public safety administrator for Davie County. 311GIS will help the County continue promoting a faster and more effective workflow for citizens. With the ability to map a wide variety of information in a single, easy-to-use public web portal, 311GIS will help citizens become involved and excited about what is happening in their community.

Citizens now have access to important relevant information. 311GIS is free to the public, and can be downloaded to any smart device from Google Play, or the Apple App Store.
