By combining a motion-compensated Optech ILRIS and a Teledyne RESON SeaBat multi-beam echo sounder on a research vessel, Codevintec mapped the wreck both above and below the surface of the water in a single pass, employing specialized software to merge and visualize their data in real time and provide the final data to the crisis team within hours of their arrival. For more innovative sensor fusion applications using the Optech ILRIS, drop in on Optech partner geo-konzept’s presentation on surveying open pit mines with a combination of terrestrial lidar scanning and UAV-mounted photography.
