Juniper Systems reveals latest rugged handheld computers at Geo Business 2014

March 25, 2014 -- Rugged handheld computer manufacturer Juniper Systems will be showcasing the latest in mobile computing for field surveying and geomatics at a major new geospatial event. Taking place in London from the 28th to 29th May 2014 Geo Business incorporates an international trade exhibition and conference as well as a programme of live workshops and demonstrations. Juniper Systems will be showcasing the newly launched Archer 2 handheld as well as the Mesa Rugged Notepad giving visitors a chance to get hands on with the equipment and explore brand new functionality.

Launched at the end of 2013 Archer 2 features radical improvements in mobile rugged computing. The second generation device includes an astonishingly bright sunlight visible display, extra-long battery life as well as a high sensitivity GPS/GLONASS/SBAS receiver all encased within a rugged IP68 construction. Mesa is the world’s first rugged notepad; combining the functionality of tablet PC with features of a rugged handheld computer. With a large 5.7 inch High Visibility colour VGA LCD, embedded Windows operating system as well as GPS and camera enhancements Mesa is rugged enough for even the most challenging of environments.

“Events such as Geo Business give potential users the chance to get hands on with our devices,” commented Simon Bowe, General Manager of Juniper Systems Ltd. “This is really important as potential users need to be confident the physical features of handhelds are suitable for their application. We will have a range of notepads and PDA’s on show, so visitors can come and see for themselves why so many surveyors and GIS users have chosen devices from Juniper Systems to perform reliable field mapping and data collection.”

Juniper Systems is based out of Utah, USA and Birmingham, UK. Juniper Systems designs and manufactures rugged handheld computers and provides field data collection solutions for use in extreme environments. Since 1993, Juniper Systems has provided innovative mobile technology to natural resources, public works, geomatics, agriculture, industrial, and military markets.

Geo Business 2014 is designed for professionals involved in the gathering, storing, processing and delivering of geospatial information. Combining a conference and an international trade exhibition the event is expected to attract more than 80 of the world’s leading suppliers of geospatial products and services. Geo Business 2014 will also feature a programme of live workshops and demonstrations featuring the latest innovations and technology on offer. Geo Business takes place from the 28-29th May 2014 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.
