Microdesk To Provide Software Skills Training To Media & Entertainment Industry Professionals

Microdesk Selected as Training Provider for Contract Services Administration Trust Fund

LOS ANGELES, March 6, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —   Microdesk, a leading provider of business and technology consulting services to help firms successfully plan, design, build and operate land and buildings, today announced its expansion into the entertainment industry by offering training courses on leading design software and applications for professionals in media, television, and entertainment in the Los Angeles, California area. Through the Contract Services Administration Training Trust Fund (CASTTF), Microdesk will serve as a local training provider for the Multi-Local Skills Training Group (MLSTG), which is comprised of 12 locals from three entertainment unions in the Southern California area.

Course participants will learn both fundamental and advanced techniques that support the development of creative ideas and methodologies that are at the core of entertainment production. The hands-on training programs will launch with beginner to intermediate level courses.

Classes will be offered for such programs as:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Director
  • Adobe Premiere
  • Autodesk Maya
  • Autodesk Mudbox
  • SketchUp
  • Rhino
  • Modo
  • Zbrush

Microdesk will also offer certification preparation and testing for AutoCAD, Maya, Photoshop, Premiere and 3D Studio Max.
