GO Loader provides support for FAA Subscriber Files

Snowflake Software makes management of AIM data easier and faster

Southampton, UK. 4 March 2014: ---- Snowflake Software has today launched the latest version of its GO Loader software at the World ATM Congress 2014 in Madrid, with additional features for the loading and management of AIM data across multiple database platforms and in-built support for FAA Subscriber Files and complex airspace geometries.

“This GO Loader update to version 1.7.4 is all about making the management and loading of AIM data easier and faster, to a wide audience, on multiple technology platforms.” explains Ian Painter, CEO at Snowflake.

“Our team has done some great ‘under-the-hood’ work to enhance GO Loader’s support for loading complex geometries into PostgreSQL and SQL Server, bringing those databases up to the same level of support we have for Oracle.  We’ve also added support for FAA specific Units of Measure enabling GO Loader users to load FAA Special Activity Airspace (SAA) subscriber files and complex airspace geometries.”

The AIXM 5.0 SAA Subscriber files are available to download from the National Flight Data Centre in the 56 Day NASR Subscription.

AIXM Project Templates

Along with enhanced complex geometry support, GO Loader 1.7.4 comes bundled with pre-configured project templates for AIXM 4.5, AIXM 5.0, and AIXM 5.1. As well as supporting the core AIXM data, Snowflake’s new GO Loader project templates for AIXM also include support for numerous popular AIXM extensions such as the Digital NOTAM Event specification and Special Activity Airspace.

“These new AIXM Project Templates available in GO Loader enable users to load their data faster, with a 1-click process.” Comments Eddie Curtis, CTO at Snowflake.

“Users simply connect GO Loader to their database and the software handles the rest: automatically creating database tables which are model driven from the AIXM model, loading the AIXM data at over 3000 features per second, and finally building the appropriate spatial and attribute indexes to enable the user to visualise and query the data from their database or GIS of choice.”

World ATM Congress

Snowflake will be demonstrating its data loading and publishing software – GO Loader and GO Publisher – at the World ATM Congress in Madrid, 4-6th March 2014, on stand #1344.
