MachineWorks celebrates 20th anniversary

MachineWorks Manufacturing Sofware; Celebrating 20 Years of Development

MachineWorks Ltd is celebrating 20 years of development and we'd
MachineWorks 20th Anniversary
love our customers to celebrate with us because this is a celebration of their success too. We could not have done it without you, so THANK YOU.

We think of our customers as partners. The moment we start working together, we form a tight relationship to create excellence. MachineWorks' strong technical team maintains an open dialogue and keeps regularly in touch to help customers meet their challenges. "We work closely  together to understand customers' needs and to ensure that they take full advantage of our capabilities and  make the most of MachineWorks Software" says Lucy Davies, Customer & Product Services Manager.

The CNC industry has evolved significantly over the last two decades; mergers & acquisitions, multi-tasking machines, nanotechnology, PC-based controllers are a common occurrence. On the technology front, advances have taken place too; artificial intelligence, increased processing power and memory. All these radical changes have certainly transformed the world of manufacturing.

Innovation is the key to the success of MachineWorks technology. The constant development of the software aims to handle every type of machining operation, aims to benefit from the latest technological advances and aims to deliver functionality related to specific business requirements. CTO, Fenqiang Lin says "The focus of MachineWorks development has always been creating innovative technology so that we can keep on offering cutting-edge solutions to our customers to help them keep ahead".

Thank You. MachineWorks 20th Anniversary

In the early 90s, MachineWorks pioneered the market for embedded simulation when it was a "nice-to-have", by offering the first true solid model simulation. MachineWorks' simulation solution allowed CAM software producers to provide integrated simulation as core functionality in their applications. Embedded simulation soon became a "must-have" for mainstream CAM applications.

"We carried on developing ahead of markets requirements to become the preferred choice for simulation component technology. Nowadays, over 60% of the leading players in the CAM industry have adopted MachineWorks simulation." says Mike Nicholson, Sales Director.

Hardware manufacturers also want to make use of the leading technology for full machine simulation and material removal. They are particularly interested in using MachineWorks' clash detection and interfere checking capabilities.

Standalone verification applications and controller-based applications, including Collision Avoidance Systems were created by machine tool builders and controller manufacturers using MachineWorks Software.

In recent years, MachineWorks has expanded its range of solutions. Polygonica, the new solid modelling toolkit, has allowed  MachineWorks to serve other markets, including additive manufacturing, by offering the capability for processing polygon meshes.

Key to this achievement is the MachineWorks team, passionately working towards delivering the best technology. Some of the original developers have got a few more grey hairs and the younger newcomers don't let them forget about it but they do have one thing in common; they share the same goals and enthusiasm.

David Manley, Managing Director, says "Whenever the team travels around the world to a shop-floor or to an exhibition  and sees the level of simulation and the extent to which MachineWorks has reached almost every part of manufacturing through our partners, that make us very proud".
