NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference Highlights GPU-Driven Innovation Across Manufacturing and Design

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – February 27, 2014 – NVIDIA's annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC), taking place March 24-27 in San Jose, will once again feature tracks with the world’s leading manufacturing and design companies to explore how GPU technology is driving innovation across automotive, aerospace, apparel, architecture-engineering-construction, consumer products, and more. Over 30 sessions with top executives and engineers will highlight real world GPU-driven trends, educating GTC attendees on topics including:

  • How manufacturing and AEC companies are leveraging advanced computer graphics at all stages of the product development life cycle, from concept to design and marketing
  • How analytical simulations and interactive, photorealistic rendering lets designers and engineers create fewer physical prototypes
  • How advances in desktop hardware, cloud solutions, remoting and mobile platforms are speeding up the design life cycle, getting products to market faster and giving employees greater flexibility

Featured speakers from companies including Boeing, Honda, SpaceX, Gulfstream, Renault and more will present during a special Digital Manufacturing Summit on March 25-26. A small handful of the current speakers include:

  • Benoit Deschamps and Alain Gonzalez (PSA Peugeot Citroen) will discuss the automotive leader’s GPU-accelerated workflow for designing, evaluating and simulating Human Machine Interfaces in new car models
  • Safir Bellali (Vans) will highlight how this iconic sports and lifestyle brand is embracing virtual technology to revolutionize its design, development and marketing processes
  • Daniel Simon (freelance vehicle designer), an accomplished concept designer for companies like Volkswagen and Bugatti, will visually explore potential racing prototypes through the year 2615, entirely rendered on NVIDIA GPUs
