Coordinate Metrology Society Opens Registration for the 2014 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) in North Charleston, SC

CMS to celebrate 30th Anniversary at their Annual Membership Event

The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS), the eminent membership association for measurement professionals, today announced registration is open for the 2014 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) to be held at the Embassy Suites, North Charleston, SC from July 21 – 25, 2014. The organization will commemorate the 30th anniversary of its conference held annually to highlight state-of-the-art technologies in the portable 3D metrology industry. At CMSC 2014, expert and novice metrology professionals will convene to learn about the successful implementation and usage of measurement/inspection solutions as applied by manufacturers and science laboratories. Online attendee registration is now open at https://www.cmsc.org/register. Interested exhibitors will find registration details at https://www.cmsc.org/cmsc-exhibitor-information.

The Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference is well known for its expansive slate of technical papers and presentations covering successful applications, best practices, and research and development in the field of metrology. For three decades, the conference has attracted metrologists, manufacturing executives, quality managers, scientists, students, educators and other industry professionals looking to broaden their skill sets and knowledge of portable 3D measurement instrumentation and software.

At CMSC 2014, the Coordinate Metrology Society will also conduct examinations for CMS Level-One and Level-Two Certification for 3D Portable Metrology. The proctored tests measure and verify the technical competence of career bound metrology professionals. For more information about the program and certification guidelines, visit http://www.cmsc.org/cms-certification.

In addition to high-level technical paper presentations, conference attendees will find a balanced blend of metrology solutions and services, industry updates, user group meetings, and educational workshops. CMSC also provides networking opportunities to meet Coordinate Metrology Society members and industry thought leaders. The five-day agenda includes the 5th Annual CMS Measurement Study, the annual Wednesday evening Banquet, and an optional Friday Sightseeing Tour. CMSC’s Exhibitor Hall will showcase more than 40 service providers and vendors of portable measurement technology including industrial photogrammetry solutions, laser trackers, laser radars, articulating arms, GPS systems, laser scanners, laser projection systems, theodolites and more.

Call for Papers Continues through March 14, 2014

The Coordinate Metrology Society continues its Call for Papers for the 2014 CMSC until March 14, 2014. Abstract submissions are peer-reviewed by the Coordinate Metrology Society and considered for presentation at CMSC 2014. Notification of acceptance will occur on April 4, 2014.
