CAD Cut launches latest innovation in multi-layer insulation: CAD Cut Cryokits™

Custom-tailored kits provide single-package MLI solutions for cryogenic applications

BOSTON, Jan. 22, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — CAD Cut, Inc., a Web Industries company, is proud to announce the latest innovation in multi-layer insulation (MLI) products, CAD Cut Cryokits™. By combining customized MLI blankets and co-rolled insulation material into a single kit, CAD Cut Cryokits offer manufacturers an easy to order, easy to use cryogenic insulation system that lowers labor and material costs while decreasing installation times. Unique in this market, CAD Cut's co-rolls can consist of up to four layers of aluminized film and spacer, with material options available to meet customer specifications. CAD Cut Cryokits provide the most efficient solution available for insulating cryogenic systems and extends CAD Cut's market-leading position as a supplier of tailored MLI products.

"We've demonstrated the value of using cut-to-fit MLI blankets in the medical, cryogenic, and aerospace markets, and we believe that our CAD Cut Cryokits offer customers a made-to-order solution that can eliminate manual cutting, allowing them to produce the highest quality final product at a significantly lower total cost," said Blake Batley, Web Industries' Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "Being a one-stop shop for MLI solutions, we simplify the supply chain for our customers by reducing the number of necessary suppliers and eliminating non-value-add steps in the manufacturing process."

CAD Cut Cryokits extend the current MLI blanket offering from CAD Cut and are targeted toward cryogenic storage and transport applications. Each Cryokit can contain cut-to-fit blankets that provide an exact fit for tank ends and wide width (up to 86") co-rolled material that allow efficient wrapping of straight walled vessels. Tape and other associated insulating materials can be included in every Cryokit, providing a complete MLI solution in each package for installation and ordering efficiency.

Acquired by Web Industries in December of 2012, CAD Cut has retained its strong presence in the MLI market. CAD Cut's established MLI products complement Web's existing array of converting and contract manufacturing services, allowing both companies to offer a full range of advanced material formatting and outsource manufacturing solutions to the aerospace, medical, energy, industrial, and cryogenic markets.
