Clean Green Energy Partners With Burtek Enterprises for Wind Turbine Manufacturing

BRIGHTON, MI -- (Marketwired) -- Jan 14, 2014 -- Burtek Enterprises Inc. of Chesterfield, Michigan has been selected as the strategic manufacturing and assembly partner of Clean Green Energy's (CGE) WIND--e20® on-site wind turbine.

The companies have an MOU signed. Burtek will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of the WIND--e20®, managing the value stream, and to work with CGE to check and improve CGE's design for cost-effective manufacturability.

Burtek is a world leading and industry recognized full-service design, engineering, and manufacturing organization. This 5-star military contractor has 25-years of design, production, testing and integration of complex systems and applications for mobile military ground vehicles, radar platforms and other systems for the Department of Defense.

As a "Ship When Ready Supplier" of Northrop Grumman, Burtek prides themselves in delivery. "Burtek has taken a radar system from concept design to final combat zone delivery in a six month timeframe," says Bryan Zaplitny, President of CGE. "That solidified them as the perfect manufacturing partner for WIND--e20®."

Specializations such as large structure welding, hydraulic leveling systems, and quick-transport radar stations make them the ideal manufacturer for the WIND--e20®. With a lean, value increasing manufacturing culture, they are continuously working from our perspective to increase affordability.

Burtek's 230,000 square foot flexible manufacturing environment is ready to be optimized for efficient and timely delivery of WINDe--20®. "As a partner of CGE on the WIND--e20® program, we are going to have to be responsive," says Burtek President Jeff Daniel. "We are going into production in 2014."
