Adlib Helps Organizations Increase Business Process Efficiency with Latest Advanced Rendering Software

Provides streamlined integration with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems, enhanced CAD-to-PDF rendering and increased Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to include Chinese, Japanese and Korean

TORONTO — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 7, 2014 — Adlib announced the release of Adlib PDF 5.1 today, the latest version of its industry-leading Advanced Rendering technology, with available enhancements that include streamlined, robust integration into the most commonly-used Enterprise Content Management systems—EMC Documentum and IBM FileNet—along with expanded CAD rendering functionality and extended optical character recognition (OCR) to elevate support to 123 languages.

This release further helps enterprise organizations to increase business process efficiency, and connect Advanced Rendering capabilities directly into the document processes currently supported by their ECM systems. “We now offer a more robust and streamlined connection to our industry-leading Advanced Rendering software through EMC Documentum and IBM FileNet, making it increasingly easier for our customers to make the most of their ECM investment,” said Peter Duff, President and CEO of Adlib. “These new integration capabilities enable users to leverage metadata directly from their ECM for rules-driven, automated rendering that meets their unique requirements.”

Adlib 5.1 offers new ECM integrations, optional add-on modules and a number of enhancements that help customers to increase process efficiency, reduce costs and improve workflows:

  • Powerful EMC Documentum connector, which supports a number of Content Servers, user interfaces and all standard web-based applications such as Webtop and Documentum Administrator
  • Robust IBM FileNet connector, which adds transformation menu items for the Content Navigator user interface, as well as support to transform compound documents. This release supports IBM FileNet, Workplace, Workplace XT and Content Navigator
  • New 2D CAD engine, which supports a number of new file types such as CATIA and Pro/E Wildfire. It includes improved PDF rendering quality, and updated support for the latest CAD file format versions for AutoCAD 2013, Inventor 2014, Microstation 8.9, SolidWorks 2013 and NX Unigraphics v8
  • Added OCR support for simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean character sets, bringing the total to 123 languages currently supported

Adlib solutions can easily scale to fit the needs of dynamic organizations.
