exactEarth releases Satellite AIS templates for Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server

November 01, 2013 -- Following on from the work announced at this year’s Esri UC in San Diego, exactEarth releases Satellite AIS templates for Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server.

Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server was given major billing at the Esri UC this year in San Diego by Jack Dangermond, Esri President, as part of his main speech as a major step forward for GIS as it moves from static to real-time mapping and exactEarth was specifically mentioned as a premium partner in this area.

As a major supplier of near real-time geospatial data for maritime vessels, exactEarth has been closely involved in the Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server beta program, working in the spotlight with Esri to ensure our data can be ingested and processed easily by Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server.

Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server gives the ability to request and receive exactAIS data then use continuous processors to store data in local ArcGIS Servers or ArcGIS Online, generate alerts, or send email. If data is stored in a local ArcGIS Server database or ArcGIS Online, a user can click on a vessel and see its current information from Esri map viewers such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, etc.

To help get users up and running quickly, exactEarth has now released a pre-configured template that can be imported into GeoEvent Processor that connects to our Geospatial Web Services (GWS). This template can be downloaded from our new GEP page on ArcGIS Online: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=2747f7c0bec9483592a76e820267b1fc.

The pre-configured template allows users to seamlessly access exactEarth Satellite AIS data using Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server. Sample data are provided for demonstration use that are 96-hours delayed and provide vessel type, flag, latitude/longitude, speed, and course. The configuration easily enables users to make rules and processes to generate real-time alerts, as well as stream and load data into Esri based technologies, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS SDKs and ArcGIS for Desktop. This relevant, near real-time, information can then be incorporated into making actionable decisions.

To see our pre-configured template for Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server in action using our exactAIS Geospatial Web Services, check out our GWS and the Esri® ArcGIS® 10.2 GeoEvent™ Processor for Server webpage at http://www.exactearth.com/products/exactais-geospatial-web-services/gws-and-the-geoevent-processor-from-esri.
