Geospatial & Engineering International Conference Announces Program

September 05, 2013 -- Reston, VA - Focusing on the ability of engineering and geospatial firms to expand their professional services into the international market, the Geospatial & Engineering International Conference, announced today the program for the two-day conference to be held November 13-14, 2013 in Alexandria, VA.
Conference sessions will feature organizations that finance, procure, coordinate, and manage geospatial and engineering projects outside the Unites States. Officials from agencies and non-governmental organizations will discuss their programs, budgets, requirements and procurement procedures for geospatial and engineering services.  In addition, private sector professionals experienced in global business will share best practices and lessons learned. Sessions will provide private sector companies that are new or exploring markets outside the United States with information on how to work globally both with experienced firms and dealing with strategic planning, laws, culture, regulations, safety and insurance. Experienced firms working overseas will benefit from  discussions with exporting experts and potential clients.

"The program provides attendees with the critical insight into assistance provided by U.S. government agencies in order to begin working in the international market and to discover the clients in need of services provided by geospatial and engineering firms," said Brian Raber, Program Chair (Merrick & Company, Greenwood Village, CO). "No matter if a firm is exploring the possibility of expanding their market outside the United States or already working internationally, the program will provide business leaders knowledge on how to effectively navigate the international market."

The program can be viewed by visiting  www.geointernational.org. Registration is open for the conference to be held at The Westin Hotel in Alexandria, VA on November 13-14, 2013. Please note there is a discount for early bird registration, so register and book your hotel now!
