MachineWorks real time simulation at EMO Hannover

SHEFFIELD, UK, September 4, 2013  – MachineWorks Ltd, leading provider of CNC simulation and verification component software will be demonstrating the latest enhancements at EMO Hannover in September 2013.

MachineWorks has been able to provide real time simulation for many years but the first integration was in the OKUMA anti-crash system in 2005.  Now from the 10th to the 15th of September on Hall 25 Stand J25 they will be showing the extent of their capabilities.

MachineWorks can perform real time simulation for the most complex machining processes, with clash detection against the exact stock geometry. A collision avoidance system can be created by running the simulation slightly ahead of the machine to warn of an impending crash. MachineWorks also has technologies that can run on controllers with very limited processing power.

Other developers can produce CNC simulation but being able to run simulation on any controller regardless of the memory, being able of accurately display real time simulation as the tool is cutting on a full machine environment or being able to predict a clash ahead of the machine crashing is much more difficult.

The MachineWorks development team is focused on optimising the family of engines to produce smooth and efficient operations by taking advantage of hardware advances such as multi-core processers through multi-threading.

The research team at MachineWorks dedicates specific resources to experimenting with new technologies and finding new ways of making their engines faster, more stable and more accurate.

However MachineWorks cannot take all the credit. Apart from the innovative research team, MachineWorks also needs to thank their extensive list of customers who has stretched the software development for nearly 20 years and has pushed the limits of the MachineWorks engines.

Leading CAM manufacturers, machine tool and CNC control manufacturers are currently using MachineWorks' complex algorithms. They have been putting them to use by taking advantage of the rich functionality, including on-the-fly clash detection, target part comparison, infinite zoom & rotation just to mention a few. When combined with a complete representation of a complex machine and tools, MachineWorks offers a unique solution.

About MachineWorks Ltd
