Intel Introducing New Lustre Solution During Lustre(R) Event, Addressing New Lustre Markets

BEAVERTON, OR -- (Marketwired) -- Jun 11, 2013 -- Open Scalable File Systems (OpenSFS), the premier participant-supported, vendor-neutral, non-profit organization supporting and coordinating the High Performance Computing (HPC) open source file system community, is helping promote Intel's June 12th San Francisco Lustre event titled "Moving Lustre Forward." Intel will be announcing their new Lustre product, Intel® Enterprise Edition for Lustre* Software.

Intel's "Moving Lustre Forward" event features Intel keynote speaker: Boyd Davis, Vice President & General Manager, Datacenter Software Division; and Brent Gorda, General Manager, High Performance Data Division. Accompanying them on the stage will be: Intersect 360 Research CEO Addison Snell; Lustre super user Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; and Intel partners Hitachi Data Systems and DataDirect Networks.

Both Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and DataDirect Networks are Promoter level Participants in OpenSFS. Intel is a Promoter level Participant in OpenSFS and an active member of the board.

Intel's Moving Lustre Forward event will be held at the Merchants Exchange Building - Julia Morgan Ballroom - 465 California Street, San Francisco. The registration desk opens at 10:30am, the keynote starts at 11am. Lunch will be served. The event concludes with a Partner Pavilion from 1pm - 2pm.
