Icon Award Winner Profiles

Anglian Water
Anglian Water is the largest water and wastewater company in England and Wales, covering 27,500 square kilometers. An Intergraph customer since the early 1990s, Anglian Water utilized the G/Technology and GeoMedia product families to create a single, modern environment for its asset and geospatial data. As a result, Anglian Water now has an advanced infrastructure management system that offers both situational awareness and mobility, with a common operating picture throughout.

CESC Limited
The first power company on the Indian subcontinent, CESC serves 2.4 million customers within 567 square kilometers of Kolkata and Howrah, and was the first distribution company in India to implement a GIS. Through its use of Intergraph's G/Technology software, CESC has realized better network planning, reduced downtime, increased assistance to field personnel, decreased loss levels, and overall streamlined operations.

Christchurch City Council
Christchurch City Council is New Zealand's second largest city council, responsible for the welfare of 369,000 residents. From September 2010 through Feb 2011, Christchurch suffered several earthquakes that destroyed much of the city. During the aftermath, the Council's GIS team experienced massive demand for up-to-date city maps to aid in rescue and recovery work. Intergraph helped the Council enhance its web services and improve the flow of critical infrastructure data to its partners and contractors. As a result, the Council is able to better share data with other authorities in the city's post-earthquake recovery and rebuilding of the city.

Oncor Electric Delivery
Oncor is a regulated electric transmission and distribution service provider that serves seven million customers across Texas. Oncor developed the vision for its SmartGrid Applied Systems project in 2007, with the goal to transform the significant volume of data generated by distribution centers into actionable information that could be leveraged across the utility. Oncor partnered with Intergraph to avoid unplanned outages, reduce outage response times, and optimize dispatcher and field crew processes. Approximately 20 percent of Oncor's outages are now resolved without receiving a customer call.
