ANSYS, Inc. and Livermore Software Technology Corporation Reduce Complexity of Explicit Dynamics Simulation with Updated ANSYS® LS-DYNA® User Environment

May 29, 2013 -

WHO:  ANSYS Inc. and Livermore Software Technology Corporation (LSTC)

WHAT: ANSYS is now making explicit dynamics simulation tools even easier to use, enabling access to ANSYS LS-DYNA directly from the ANSYS® Workbench™ framework.  The technology —  ANSYS Workbench LS-DYNA — greatly simplifies the process of preparing input parameters and visualizing results for engineers using explicit dynamics tools, further enabling fast, efficient problem setup and analysis.

WHERE: The Workbench LS-DYNA add-in module is available to all customers with an ANSYS LS- DYNA, ANSYS LS-DYNA PC and/or ANSYS LS-DYNA PrepPost license.  It is available for download from the ANSYS Customer Portal ACT Library page.

WHY:  Livermore Software Technology Corporation has been a long-term key software partner to ANSYS for more than 15 years. This joint project further strengthens this relationship and brings significant added value to joint customers.

“ANSYS ACT, a powerful tool, made it possible for us to create this new working environment in a matter of months rather than the years that would be required without ACT” – Philip Ho, project leader, LSTC

HOW:  Workbench LS-DYNA was created using the Application Customization Toolkit (ACT), designed to enable customization of the user interface of ANSYS products.
