March 13, 2013 --- During February 2013, CGTech UK heldits Reseller Sales Kick-Off Meeting (RESKOM 2013) in Prague, Czech Republic. The developer of VERICUT software also celebrated a quarter-century of leading the development of numerical control (NC) program simulation and analysis software at the event.
With an increase in global sales in 2012, strong growth figures were also unveiled for the year’s business
activities. The company has enjoyed further continued global growth with the early performance indicators pointing to even greater success from its extensive reseller network in 2013.
As a global engineering software business, 40 per cent of CGTech’s sales come from the USA, 36 per cent from Europe and 24 per cent from Asia-Pacific. The company provides both direct local support as well as expert reseller support to the various manufacturing economies around the world, and new offices were recently open in both Brazil and India.
A gala Awards dinner was organised during RESKOM 2013, to celebrate the landmark occasion and to highlight the importance of the reseller network to CGTech. Speaking at the ceremony, managing director CGTech UK, John Reed, said: “Many of our resellers have been with us for over 10 years, and in 2012 some new ones were established by extremely experienced people that will, I am sure, contribute significantly to our further growth. With the strength and continued development of VERICUT, and the depth of knowledge held by the reseller network, I believe our sales will increase even further this year.”
Three awards were presented for outstanding achievements in 2012, the first was presented to Axiom Tech based in the Czech Republic, collected by Sales Director, Milan Tuma, the next was presented to Bee Pitron of Russia, which was accepted by Vladimir Emelianenko, and CSoft, also based in Russia, with the award received by Alex Khanin.
The company began when founder and president, Jon Prun, recognised a need to verify NC tool path programs without wasting valuable CNC machining time on a prove-out part. CGTech then created VERICUT software: the world’s first widely available, productive method to test NC machine tool paths, without using a machine tool. VERICUT revolutionised NC program verification by simulating material removal using a 3D solid model. It has flourished through an era when software companies have come and gone, achieving 25 years of innovation and steady growth.
Since its initial release, VERICUT has been constantly developed in-house by a large team of CGTech software engineers who have many years of experience in the mechanical CAD/CAM industry. In addition to regular enhancements to its core algorithms, products have been added to optimise feed rates and simulate the kinematics of complex multi-axis and multi-spindle CNC machine tools. CGTech has also recently released new products for companies using automated composite machinery, and drilling and fastening machines.
Resellers sent delegates from Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland and Turkey to the focused business event, to see first-hand how the improved capabilities and enhancements in the most recent version of VERICUT, V7.3 can improve their customers’ manufacturing operations. And, to provide technical feedback from customers in many demanding industry sectors, such as aerospace, telecommunication, oil, gas and petrochemical as well as medical device and implants.
