Esri Opens DevSummit Registration

All Eyes on Clever Mapping Apps and Innovative Maps for Existing Apps

Redlands, California—January 28, 2013—As the technology world focuses more and more on mapping and geospatial applications, developers from around the world have begun to register for the Esri International Developer Summit (DevSummit), scheduled for March 25–28, 2013, in Palm Springs, California.

The DevSummit attracts experienced as well as novice developers—anyone interested in creating powerful and impressive geospatial applications. Esri product engineers will be reliably on hand to lead workshops, help attendees troubleshoot issues, and answer questions. Pioneering developers from a diverse array of industries will present their own experiences and inspirations for creating successful maps and applications.

"If I had to pick one conference to attend each year, this would be it," said Diane Williams, engineer for the US Bureau of Reclamation. "Having access to Esri's backroom folks is invaluable."

Experts will give presummit workshops on topics ranging from Python and HTML to mobile development platforms. During the DevSummit, attendees can look forward to deep-dive technical sessions that will cover topics such as database management and APIs. Presentations in the demo theater will explain common tasks and demonstrate the use of Esri's ArcGIS templates and preconfigured solutions.

"The DevSummit is where it all happens for ArcGIS developers, but really this event is for everyone who wants to build or add maps to their applications," said Jim Barry, program manager for the Esri Developer Network (EDN).
