FISHER/UNITECH Announces Partnership with the New Stratasys Ltd.

Troy, MI (December 5, 2012) FISHER/UNITECH, a product life cycle management company, announced today its partnership with Stratasys will continue under the new Stratasys Ltd.  As a direct result of the Objet/Stratasys merger, the company has been authorized to expand their product line of 3D Printers and Production Systems to include all of the Objet products.  FISHER/UNITECH has been selected to participate in a pilot of the new combined product line commencing in January. The company has been a Stratasys partner for 16 years and for the past several years has been the top reseller for Stratasys Corporation in the Americas.

“The merger of Stratasys and Objet brings together two very complimentary technologies to address the fast growing 3D Printing market,” said Charlie Hess, President & CEO of FISHER/UNITECH. “We are anxious to bring Objet’s polyjet technology and its advantages to customers and prospects in our markets.  We believe the new Stratasys Ltd will continue to provide great technical leadership and innovative products within the additive manufacturing industry.”

FISHER/UNITECH has established two Rapid Technology Centers to support benchmarks, part building services and advanced training.  Each center is equipped with systems for both 3D Printing and 3D Production Manufacturing applications with the ability to print parts using both technologies.  FISHER/UNITECH has increased its commitment to Rapid Technology in 2012 with an expanded sales, service and support team to support the entire array of solutions from the new company. Each of the company's 14 offices house equipment for localized printing, demonstrations and training.

3D Printing has become a necessary component of the overall product development process, helping design teams test form, fit and function while accelerating time to market and enhancing collaboration and communication.  Most recently, 3D Production has become a disruptive technology and is quickly displacing many traditional manufacturing processes through additive manufacturing vs. subtractive manufacturing.
