GTS Exhibits Latest Field Mapping Cameras and GPS Modules at the NGAUS 2012 General Conference

September 27, 2012 -- Geo Tactical Solutions, Inc. (GTS), a leading provider of advanced GPS cameras, GPS modules, and photo mapping software recently showcased their latest line of tactical GPS cameras and GPS modules at the 2012 National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) General Conference. Noteworthy products included the G700SE-M tactical GPS camera (enhanced with the new optional SE-7M GPS module), GeoMapr SAASM compatible GPS module, and a new line of custom-outfitted digital SLR cameras.

The goal of NGAUS is to provide unified representation in Washington, elect a chairman and showcase trade show products designed by defense contractors from around the nation. This year’s conference hosted about 4,000 Army and Air National Guard officers and retirees from all 50 states, including Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia along with visits from nationally-known individuals such as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Raymond Odierno.

“Based on the successful adoption of our technology by other U.S. military branches, we knew we had something valuable to offer the National Guard; and this year’s NGAUS General Conference was the perfect opportunity to officially introduce our capabilities.” said Matt Kidd, President at Geo Tactical Solutions.

G700SE-M Tactical GPS Camera:

GTS’ flagship product, the G700SE-M, is a ruggedized GPS-enabled digital camera equipped with an array of features specially designed for advanced photo intelligence collection in the field.

“With the new SE-7M SAASM compatible GPS receiver, on-board electronic compass, GPS track-logs, and ‘memos’, the G700SE-M effectively and accurately captures the critical who, what, when, where and why of each photograph with a simple press of the shutter,” explained Andy Shannon, Military Sales Director at Geo Tactical Solutions. “The G700SE-M can also connect seamlessly to a laser range finder to record the GPS coordinates of distant objects within a photograph, object location proved to be a very important capability for the National Guard based on feedback from numerous Guard units.” Mr. Shannon added.  Additionally, the G700SE-M also supports extended zoom optics for long-range observation and photo-capture out to a distance of 2,000+ meters.

In an effort to provide an “end-to-end” solution, GTS also provides photo mapping software along with the G700SE-M tactical GPS camera to streamline and simplify the process of mapping and reporting photographic data collected in the field.

GeoMapr – SAASM Compatible GPS Module:

GeoMapr is a light-weight, compact, SAASM compatible GPS module that connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or USB cable to any compatible digital camera. Once connected, GeoMapr automatically enhances digital photographs with GPS coordinates, date, time, compass heading, and mission specific memos (e.g. photographer’s name, unit ID, mission ID, etc.) ready for seamless input into mapping applications and debrief reports. “We developed GeoMapr as an affordable solution for bringing the powerful capabilities offered by the G700SE-M into any modern digital camera,” said Mr. Shannon. “This allows us to offer a much wider range of camera options to our customers without having them lose any important capabilities.”

Custom Outfitted Digital SLR Cameras:

Having an established partnership with Canon, GTS offers a line of Canon digital SLR cameras that work seamlessly with GeoMapr and GTS’ feature-rich photo mapping software to deliver enhanced photo-capture, mapping and reporting capabilities.
