AVEVA signs strategic alliance MOU with SEDIN Engineering

Leader in Chinese chemical industry establishes new technology pioneer relationship

 

Beijing , China – 26 September 2012 : AVEVA (LSE:AVV), today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Beijing with SEDIN Engineering Company Limited(SEDIN) which defines a new strategic alliance between the two companies.

The MOU will position SEDIN as an AVEVA technology pioneer in the China chemical industry. SEDIN will gain early visibility and access to new AVEVA software technology, in exchange for its valuable feedback towards current and future product development plans. The new relationship offers SEDIN a first mover competitive advantage, ‘setting the pace’ for the industry, and AVEVA benefits from their extensive operational and industry expertise.

Working together on a number of new business opportunities and projects, AVEVA and SEDIN will develop a chemical-specific engineering software solution platform, ensuring applications are compliant with local regulatory requirements while adopting global industry best practice.

SEDIN Engineering co., Ltd (former Second Design Institute of Chemical Industry) was founded in 1958 and is a member of the state-run China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC). SEDIN as an EPC company is well known in the domestic chemical design sector, and has its expertise and technical advantages in many fields including CTL (coal to fuel), coal gasification, coal chemical engineering, inorganic chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals and pesticides, environmental protection, geological survey, etc.
