CINEMA 4D Technology Named ‘Best in Show’ Two Years in a Row
NEWBURY PARK, Calif.--August 30, 2012-- MAXON is pleased to announce CINEMA 4D R14 (R14), a milestone release of its cornerstone 3D motion graphics, visual effects, painting, and rendering software application, has been honored by the editorial team at Computer Graphics World (CGW) with the prestigious SIGGRAPH 2012 CGW Silver Edge Award, marking the second consecutive year that CGW has bestowed the company’s 3D software technology with this prominent award.
The Silver Edge Awards are presented to companies whose products or offerings represent the best of show at the computer graphics industry’s leading trade shows. Earlier this month, MAXON debuted R14 at SIGGRAPH, the world’s premiere conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques. MAXON was among the more than 160 industry exhibitors from 19 countries at the show.
“There are always a lot of new and impressive products and technologies that are unveiled at SIGGRAPH. However, some simply demand attention over others, and this year, MAXON’s CINEMA 4D Release 14 was that offering,” says CGW Chief Editor Karen Moltenbrey. “The product is packed with impressive features, including a new, fully integrated sculpting system. CINEMA 4D continues to be a strong contender in the marketplace.”
Renowned for its ease of use, speed and professional results, CINEMA 4D is the choice for artists and designers looking to add 3D to their toolset. Leveraging more than two decades of 3D graphics programming innovation, R14 delivers breakthrough performance including a new, fully integrated sculpting system, camera matching functionality, exchange plugins to two key applications – The Foundry NUKE and Adobe Photoshop Extended – and improved integration with Adobe After Effects. Motion graphics/VFX artists and visualization designers will benefit from features that accelerate productivity to produce spectacular 3D content more fluidly and collaborate with increased efficiency
[ Note: MAXON will debut CINEMA 4D R14 for the first time in Europe at IBC 2012, September 7 – 11, in Amsterdam, hall 6, booth 6.C10]
“Since we debuted the new features in CINEMA 4D R14 at SIGGRAPH, the response from 3D artists around the world has been incredibly enthusiastic,” says Paul Babb, president/CEO, MAXON The Americas. “MAXON remains committed to providing customers the most productive and intuitive 3D software. We’re thrilled that the CGW editorial team, the authoritative source for animation and computer graphics, has recognized CINEMA 4D technology for two years in a row with the Silver Edge Award.”
Since 1977, Computer Graphics World magazine has provided in-depth editorial coverage of the modeling, design, animation and multimedia technologies and their uses for engineers, designers, researchers and animators within the primary fields of science, art and entertainment.
