Analyze Canadian Business and Demographic Data with Esri Business Analyst Online

Esri Business Analyst Online Subscriptions Now Offered for Both US and Canadian Data

Redlands, California— August 06, 2012—Esri has released Business Analyst Online (BAO), Canada Edition, for its US subscribers. BAO Canada Edition gives US-based multinational corporations that do business north of the border demographic, income, and business data for Canadian markets. BAO is a web application that generates maps, analyses, and reports on demographics, competition, and consumer lifestyles and buying behavior.

BAO Canada Edition makes market and custom site evaluation easy. It offers 14 different preformatted reports with more than 3,000 variables that can be used to evaluate the viability of building or expanding in specific locations. BAO is used primarily by analysts and professionals in real estate, retail, banking, and manufacturing organizations.

With BAO, you can do the following:

  • Analyze trade areas, competition, supply, and demand
  • Determine population within a specific drive time or distance
  • Identify and segment customers
  • Reach customers more effectively

"Many Esri customers, particularly major commercial real estate firms and retailers, operate globally and need demographic and business data for markets around the world," said James Killick, product management lead at Esri. "This release of Canadian data is BAO's first international offering, and it will be followed by western Europe later this year and other regions in 2013."

Annual subscriptions for BAO Canada Edition are sold separately from US subscriptions. For more information on how to obtain BAO and BAO Canada Edition, visit esri.com/baocanada.
