OpenGeo CEO to Deliver Presentation on GeoNode Spatial Distribution Infrastructure

This international, English-language event will run concurrently with the highly regarded German language conference on Applied Geoinformatics (AGIT), and sharing the innovative AGIT EXPO exhibit.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 4, 2012, OpenGeo’s CEO Eddie Pickle will be providing an update on OpenGeo’s developing spatial data infrastructure, GeoNode. His talk, “GeoNode: Incorporating Geovisualization in Support of SDI” will be a part of the Spatial Information & Society II block. This talk is the much anticipated follow up to Mr. Pickle's presentation on GeoNode at 2011 GI_Forum.

About GI_Forum 2012

GI_Forum 2012 is the 6th annual Geoinformatics Forum. The Program offers full-fledged, intertwined tracks on geospatial information science, technology, and learning with a focus on geovisualization, society and learning, and their interrelationship. Four keynote speakers, distinguished researchers in these scientific areas, contribute to the quality of this year’s programme. Oral presentation, discussion and poster sessions will provide a unique stage to facilitate the exchange of experiences among presenters and audience. A Young Researchers’ Forum takes place on Monday and Tuesday, and offers PhD students a unique possibility to present and discuss their research plans in an inspiring academic community of PhD students and experienced researchers.
