Meet with Esri at INSPIRE Conference 2012

Esri Staff Will Showcase How ArcGIS for INSPIRE Helps Countries Share Spatial Data across Europe

Redlands, California —June 18, 2012—Establishing a countrywide spatial data infrastructure (SDI) helps European Union (EU) member states create and share Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe (INSPIRE)-compliant data and services. At the INSPIRE Conference 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey, from June 23 to 27, 2012, Esri staff will be showcasing SDI solutions (including ArcGIS for INSPIRE) that European countries can use to ensure that data, services, and metadata comply with the INSPIRE Directive.

INSPIRE Conference 2012 provides a venue where EU member states can discuss how to meet the provisions of the INSPIRE Directive that are necessary for sharing spatial data across Europe. National mapping agency directors general and their staff, as well as other stakeholders, will be in attendance.

"It is increasingly important that members of the EU have the ability to not only share data but also ensure that it is easily accessible and interoperable between different countries," said Mark Cygan, map, data, chart, and SDI industry manager at Esri. "ArcGIS for INSPIRE allows this, because it was specifically engineered to create and share INSPIRE-compliant data and services."

ArcGIS for INSPIRE is fully integrated with solutions for sharing content, developing applications, and creating information products, making these solutions accessible virtually everywhere. It provides the following:

  • INSPIRE view services
  • INSPIRE download services
  • INSPIRE Annex I data models
  • INSPIRE discovery services

To see a demonstration of ArcGIS for INSPIRE and to talk with Esri staff about your needs, visit Esri at the conference or attend the preconference seminar, Extending the Reach of INSPIRE, on Saturday, June 23, at 1400 (2:00 p.m.) in Emirgan Hall 2.
