HOUSTON, May 21, 2012 — (PRNewswire) — �Late Friday afternoon, a jury returned a verdict of $15,399,900.00 in a patent infringement case in favor of PACT XPP Technologies, AG.  PACT, a company based in Munich, Germany, is a developer of groundbreaking technology in the field of configurable computing.  PACT accused Xilinx, Inc., and Avnet, Inc. of infringing two PACT patents through their sale of certain Xilinx-branded Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chips.  In addition to finding infringement and validity, the jury also determined that Xilinx willfully infringed PACT's patents.  First-chair at trial was Susman Godfrey partner Joseph Grinstein, who was assisted by associates John Lahad and Lindsey Godfrey.
